Busy like a Bee

So much happened this week that I don't know if I'll be able to share it all. Let me begin by apologizing for not remembering to include last week that I wouldn't be writing on Monday haha. We changed our pday to be able to go to a museum.
Our week was filled with appointments! This week we met with a man we talked to on the street. He was interested in learning about the Book of Mormon but was short on time. After a couple days we contacted him and were able to set up an appointment. Well, we said we would meet in at Hauptbahnhof. Hauptbahnhof is HUGE. We agreed we would meet by a KFC and we got there and didn't see him. We realized there were two KFCs so we walked back and forth between the two at least three times. He called us and asked where we were and we explained to him that there were two KFCs and we figured out where he was. The whole time this was going on, we were both thinking that this guy was playing a joke on us and that he wasn't really at the trai…

Locked Out

They tell every missionary to lock their hearts while they're on a mission, but when that's just not enough we tend to lock ourselves out of our apartment. What I'm trying to say is that I locked us out of our apartment just now on accident haha. We left to get groceries and we literally had just gotten back. We put everything away and headed out the door. Note: German doors automatically lock once they are closed. I hadn't realized Sister Dempsey had changed jackets and left the keys in the other one, so I closed the door and she looked at me with wide eyes. I asked her where the key was so we could finish locking it and she said she didn't have them. I was sure she was joking with me. Well, it turns out she wasn't. We were homeless, but it's okay now we've found a key and it's on its way to us. I can't stop laughing about this haha.

This week went by really quickly. We had interview with our Mission President! It was nice to be able to speak mo…

Um die Uhr Deutsch Versetzung

GUESS WHO FINALLY GOT SICK. ME. Sister Dempsey and I were both sick on Friday bis Saturday. We don't even know what we had, but we had something. We were told to stay inside for the rest of our day and it was quite interesting. It was nice to let my body finally rest but after a while I was tired of being inside.
On other news, the second transfer has begun! Sister Dempsey is finishing my training and we are staying in Hamburg for this transfer. I'm quite content with staying here, it reminds my so much of home, except... everything is in German. I have begun my 24/7 German transfer, and Sister Dempsey has been so kind enough to join me. It's pretty self explanatory, we speak in German for all hours of every day of the week. So far it has been alright, but it's challenging not to speak in English with other missionaries. I have had to tell Sis Dempsey to not speak to me in German after 9 because my brain cannot process German anymore at that hour. I'm picking up on…

I believe in miracles

I'm coming up on my 3 month mark since having left home. It has been a beautiful journey so far, and I know it will continue to be beautiful too. Though this is true, it has not been easy. Every single day is a good day, but some days are tougher than others.
Since having begun my mission, I have learned quite a lot about who God is. I have come to comprehend him in a way I have not been able to before. While in the MTC, I gradually grew to have an understanding that we are all his children and that he has an infinite amount of love for us. Being in the mission field, however, has helped me see that he really is my Father.
I love every minute of my mission. These past weeks have been unbelievably difficult. Relax, my testimony is stronger than ever-- it has always been since beginning this journey-- but for many days I have not been okay. And I have not really known why. I still do not know why haha. Do not worry, I can say I am genuinely good now.
Throughout the days that were roug…
