Let the Holy Spirit be your guide

Hello meine Lieben,

It has been quite a week! We traveled twice to Berlin within 3 days of each other. Our conference with our Mission President was amazing. The main emphasis has continued to be on following our spiritual promptings and having the courage to do so. As humans we tend to feel abandoned or alone at one point or another, but the beauty of knowing why we're here on earth replaces fear and worries with peace and comfort. Some time our eyes will be opened to the realities of God, and we will experience that we have never been alone. This is all possible through the Holy Ghost, the spirit given to us by God to be able to manifest His love and personal messages to us in ways we will only understand.

Following spiritual promptings has been one of my favorite things to do while serving. One week, Sister Jensen and I saw these two men walking and felt a strong impression that we needed to turn the car around and talk to them. We were worried about the things we needed to do to get back to the men; however, in the end we were able to find and talk to them-- let it be known that we had to make a U turn in the middle of a busy street and park our car in a field to be able to get onto the path the men were on haha. The men ended up not being interested but it didn't matter to us. We knew what we felt and we acted on it. We did our part, and left the rest in the hands of God.

This brings me to the point I want to make. The second time we went to Berlin was for our normal exchanges with our sister training leader, Sister Olsen. I have never been so happy in my life to be reunited with one of my best friends and past companion. Sister Olsen is opening up the Tempelhof area in Berlin and it's never had missionaries in it before. Her and her trainee missionary have been working extremely diligent to be able to find people to teach. On our exchange, Sister Olsen and I had pretty much an entire day for contacting people on the streets of Tempelhof. As we prepared for the day we prayed to know where to concentrate our efforts and after staring at a map for 5 minutes, we pointed to where we felt we needed to be and we were united in thought. We went and spoke to as many people as we could. We did our part and God took care of the rest. He led us to people who were prepared to meet with us and learn more and find out for themselves if what we share is true.

Everything falls into place when we do what we feel is right according to God and allow him to take care of the rest.

Isaiah 40:31 ''But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint''

I know when we allow space for God to work in our lives by listening and acting to feelings we receive (sometimes we call this our conscience or our gut feeling or intuition), we will find ourselves not only where he wants us, but also that He has made us into someone better.

Bis nächste Woche,

Sister Quintana
